The public podcast experience is designed to collect less and explain what remains.
The episode player stores your listening position in this browser. That progress is keyed to the immutable episode and media file, stays on your device, and can be cleared through your browser storage settings.
The site does not create listener accounts or sell personal data. Vercel Web Analytics records anonymized page views and a small, bounded vocabulary of player and subscription actions without cookies. Media delivery may also produce privacy-preserving aggregate download estimates. Those figures are operational estimates, not cross-site identity profiles.
With your permission, Google Analytics uses cookies to measure visits, active reading, podcast playback, and newsletter signup outcomes. Your analytics choice is shared between our essays and podcast sites and is separate from advertising consent. We do not send your email address or subscription confirmation token to Google Analytics. Advertising storage and personalization remain disabled.
You can withdraw permission using Analytics preferences at the bottom of any page. We honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. Google processes analytics data under its own privacy policy.
When OpenAI advertising measurement is available, it stays off until you choose “Allow measurement” in Advertising preferences at the bottom of the page. If you opt in, OpenAI receives page views, episode playback starts, and accepted newsletter requests, together with browser and ad attribution information. Its Pixel uses first-party cookies to attribute activity to ads. Events are opted out of future user-level personalization. After an accepted newsletter request, our server may also report that conversion using the same event identifier and your measurement consent at submission. The server report includes the page address without query parameters, browser attribution identifiers, and browser type; it does not include your email address or form contents.
You can turn measurement off in Advertising preferences at any time. This stops future measurement and asks the Pixel to remove its attribution cookies; it does not erase events already sent. We honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser signals. Your advertising choice is stored in this browser separately from your email subscription.
When production error monitoring is enabled, technical exception details may be sent to Sentry. Request headers, cookies, URLs, user identity, device context, breadcrumbs, custom tags, logs, tracing, and session replay are removed or disabled before an event is sent.
Subscription requests and guest nominations are stored in Supabase. Resend sends confirmation and notification emails. Email subscriptions require confirmation before activation, and every subscription email includes an unsubscribe option. Resend delivery events may suppress addresses after an unsubscribe, complaint, or permanent bounce.
Guest nominations are accessible only to the podcast owner within our application and are deleted from our application after 12 months. Unconfirmed newsletter requests are deleted from our application after 30 days. You can request earlier deletion by emailing contact@themasters.ai. We retain unsubscribe records to honor your email preferences.
Cloudflare Turnstile checks browser and device signals to help prevent automated form abuse. Our server validates the result before accepting a signup or guest nomination. We do not send your email address or message to Turnstile.
